The mechanics
How memberships work
- A booking is one day of care. If you need a sitter Friday and Saturday, that's two bookings against your monthly allotment. Multi-day stretches count per day, not per request.
- Your membership starts on your sign-up date. Each cycle runs one month from that date, not the day of your first booking, so the timing of your first sitter request is up to you.
- Tier changes happen at the end of each cycle. Going up or down? Give us a shout before your renewal date and we'll set the new tier for your next cycle. No changes mid-cycle.
- Need more bookings than your tier covers this cycle? Add singles at $35 + GST on top of any membership. If it becomes a regular pattern, move up at your next renewal.
- Pause and pick back up at any time. After your 2-month minimum, you can pause your membership for as long as you need and pick it back up whenever life calls for a sitter again. No notice period, no penalty.
Why it helps
The math
The standard agency booking fee is $35 per booking +GST. Each membership includes the agency fee for the bookings allotted, so you stop paying it at every checkout. If you book most weekends, the savings compound across the year.
All memberships have a two-month minimum. After that, you can pause and pick back up at any time, no notice period and no penalty. Membership benefits cannot be combined with other promotions, referral credits, special-event pricing, or one-time custom childcare arrangements unless approved by Sunhouse in writing.
